Courses in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Design
CEDAM offers a Foundations in University Teaching and Learning course, and a Graduate Certificate and Masters of Higher Education where participants have the opportunity to enrol in various courses including Research Supervision, Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and Curriculum Design and Innovation.

CEDAM provides a range of evaluation surveys, survey data analysis, alternative evaluative models and advice on strategies to enhance teaching methods and learning outcomes.

The ANU academic promotions policy asks that staff supply documentation to enable the committee to evaluate their education/teaching contribution. Many staff use a ‘teaching portfolio’ to collect information so that they can more easily present a case for promotion. CEDAM can provide advice and assistance in collecting teaching evaluations and preparing teaching portfolios.

CEDAM administers the ANU's institutional Awards for Excellence in Education, as well as ANU nominations for the Australian Learning and Teaching Council awards at national level, and provides advice and support to nominees.

CEDAM supports ANU communities who wish to enhance their academic practice. The centre currently resources four cross disciplinary communities of practice (CoP) which are; Teaching Awardees, Tutors Support Network, Research-led Education and Super CoP (their focus concerns developing and resourcing both learning communities and communities of practice on campus).

Festival of Teaching
The annual ANU Festival of Teaching is a chance to share teaching successes, explore experiences and plan for new ways to link the strengths of our research to enhance student learning.

CEDAM maintains a small library of literature on higher education research and policy. University staff are welcome to browse or borrow from the library. In addition, many disciplines have their own specialist journals in higher education.

Consultation with CEDAM staff is available on a one-to-one or group basis for those involved in developing and implementing new or innovative programs, curriculum design of courses or approaches to assessment and other teaching and learning activities.
