The Evaluations team in CEDAM can assist in analysing, interpreting and responding to ANUSET outcomes or in survey design.

Services provided by the Evaluations team include:

  • Interpreting ANUSET data – The Evaluation Team includes expertise in educational and statistical analysis that can assist you to interpret and reflect on the outcomes of ANUSET feedback. The Team can also identify potential comparative benchmarks to broaden this analysis, including the use of Rating Interpretation Guide that provides historic evaluation data.

  • Survey design and development – Survey design experts in the Evaluation Team can assist in designing reliable and valid surveys. They can also demonstrate how these can be developed online, as well as how they can be analysed and interpreted.

  • Advice on teaching and learning enhancement – CEDAM offers extensive expertise on teaching and learning in higher education to assist academics to respond to evaluation outcomes. Full details are available on the CEDAM website.

  • Formative Evaluation Strategies: while ANUSET focuses on summative evaluation (that is, feedback at the conclusion of a course), the Evaluations Team can assist you with designing formative evaluation (evaluation undertaken during the course). Examples of formative evaluation can be seen here.

  • Evidence for promotional rounds – CEDAM assists academic staff to prepare evaluation data for evidence of their teaching effectiveness to add to teaching portfolios for annual promotional rounds.

  • ANUDEQ – The Evaluations Team in CEDAM conducts an annual ANU Doctoral Experience Questionnaire (ANUDEQ) which investigates the experience of Doctoral candidates across ANU. Each College receives a report based on its own Doctoral students’ responses for consideration.
