Interested staff are encouraged to discuss this option with their Dean (or supervisor in the case of general staff).

The following staff are eligible to apply for an ANU Staff Development Scholarship:

Applications must be endorsed by:

  • the individual's supervisor and College Convenor (academic staff)

Applications from Current ANU Students

Postgraduate research students wishing to apply will require written permission from the Chair of their supervisory panel and the Delegated Authority (normally Dean/Director of their area) for their original program of study, as enrolment in two postgraduate programs at the same time is normally not permitted.

International student applications

As this program is only offered part-time, only current staff or postgraduate students of the ANU, with permission, may be admitted as international students. Students will be charged course fees at full fee rates rather than HECS rates. Applicants must apply as international students if they are not permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand using the Postgraduate Coursework Application for International Students.

Advanced Standing

A completed Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (or equivalent) may provide 50% advanced standing towards the Master of Higher Education. Intending participants interested in discussing options for advanced standing in recognition of relevant courses or projects completed at ANU or elsewhere should consult the Program Convenor.
