GCHE Program Structure

The GradCertHE program comprises 24 units of coursework. The program is organised as two suggested pathways to assist participants to develop professional networks as they undertake the program as a cohort. However it is also possible to combine courses across both pathways.  The GradCertHE program is highly flexible in content, and allows participants to tailor their study to meet their professional needs and interests. Participants are encouraged to discuss their individual learning goals with the Program and Course Convenors.

The pathways in the GradCertHE program focus on the relevant areas of:

  • learning, teaching and curriculum innovation
  • research supervision and academic leadership

Each suggested pathway is composed of two core courses integrated with a project or program of action learning (2 x 9-units) and a final 6-unit capstone course EDUC8001: Enhancing Your Academic Practice. EDUC8001 provides an opportunity for participants to integrate and reflect on their learning and experience from all prior courses undertaken in the Graduate Certificate program.
