The ANU Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Awards recognise and encourage excellence in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research supervision at the University. Students and staff are invited to nominate now for the four awards for Excellence in Education. Each award has a value of $4,000 and winners are presented with a testamur at their College graduation ceremony.

Teaching Awards celebrate the ANU's most outstanding university teachers in their fields. Teaching Awards give recognition to teachers (individuals and teams) renowned for the excellence of their teaching, who have outstanding presentation skills and who have made a broad and deep contribution to enhancing the quality of learning and teaching in the ANU.

Citations recognise and reward the diverse contribution that individuals and teams make to the quality of student learning. Citations are awarded to academic, general and sessional staff, and institutional associates, who have made significant contributions to student learning in a specific area of responsibility over a sustained period.
Supervision Awards recognise a sustained record of strong and innovative commitment to research students, and best practice in introducing students to research and research networks.
Program Awards recognise teaching and learning support programs and services that make an outstanding contribution to the quality of student learning and the quality of the student experience at the ANU.

Recipients of the ANU College awards will be automatically nominated by their college Dean for the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Education Awards.
Nominators should be prepared to make a short supporting statement with their nomination.

The Committee will meet in each year to consider the submitted portfolios and select winners in each category.

Recipients of the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Education will be made public through the ANU media and on the CEDAM website. Awards will be presented at the ANU graduation ceremony the following semester. Any prize money will be administered through the recipient's business office.
