The Centre for Educational Development and Academic Methods (CEDAM) is an academic centre with a service role. Academically, it is attached to the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), while providing an institution-wide service support role to all seven ANU Colleges and reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. Its service role is to build institutional capacity in academic work, in areas such as teaching and learning, curriculum development, teaching evaluation, research supervision and academic leadership, with a particular focus on educational development
CEDAM offers Graduate Certificate and Masters programs in Higher Education for academic staff and others interested in enhancing their practice as a teacher, curriculum designer, research supervisor or academic manager. The centre is staffed by academics who provide a range of services for both educational quality enhancement and quality assurance. This support role is underpinned by the Centre’s research into higher education.
